All eight services
Rendering analysis
Trace where time goes between the first byte and an interactive screen.
Rendering strategy review
Match each route to server, static, streamed or client rendering.
Hydration optimization
Shorten the gap between a page that looks ready and one that responds.
JavaScript and main-thread work
Break up long tasks so the main thread stays free for input.
INP debugging
Trace the slow taps and clicks behind a poor INP and plan fixes.
Framework performance
Reviews for React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Svelte and Angular apps.
Asset and font loading for apps
Load hero media, fonts and chunks in the order the screen needs them.
Real-user monitoring setup
Collect field data with attribution, in a way that respects privacy.
How to choose a starting point
If you are not sure where the time goes, start with a rendering analysis. It traces your most important routes and names the biggest causes, and its findings tell you which of the other services, if any, you need next.
Pick a narrower service when you already know the problem:
- Field data says Interaction to Next Paint is poor and you need to find which interactions cause it: INP debugging.
- Your server-rendered pages look ready but ignore early taps: hydration optimization.
- Traces show long tasks from your own code: JavaScript and main-thread optimization.
- You are weighing server rendering, static generation, streaming or client rendering for some routes: rendering strategy review.
- You want advice specific to your framework and version: framework performance review.
- The main content appears late or text shifts when fonts load: asset and font loading.
- You have no field data, or field data without attribution: real-user monitoring setup.
Who we work with
Our services are written for product companies, software agencies and in-house digital teams in Canada whose apps are built with a modern JavaScript framework. The work assumes engineers will read the findings, so reports include traces, code references and trade-offs rather than general advice. We work remotely and in English, and we schedule calls in Canadian time zones.
We are not the right fit for a brochure site that needs a faster theme or a lighter page builder. Those projects need different help, and we would rather say so at the start.
What a first conversation covers
The first conversation is short and practical. We ask which routes matter most to your business, what users or colleagues say feels slow, which framework and version you run, what field data you have, and what access is realistic. We also ask what a good outcome would look like for you, whether that is a better INP on one flow, a decision about rendering strategy, or simply knowing where the time goes. From that, we suggest a scope and send a quote.
What every service includes
- A short call to agree scope, followed by a written, fixed quote.
- Work against a baseline build you choose, so results can be compared later.
- Written findings with evidence, ranked by their effect on users.
- The raw traces and files we produce, so your team keeps them.
- A walkthrough call. Follow-up support is optional and quoted separately.
Implementation help, pull request reviews and retesting are available as add-ons. See pricing for current starting prices in Canadian dollars and the process page for how an engagement runs from first message to retest.
How services combine
Services often work best in pairs. A rendering analysis followed by INP debugging suits teams whose field data shows poor responsiveness without obvious causes. A strategy review followed by hydration optimization suits teams moving routes to server rendering. Real-user monitoring pairs with almost anything, because it gives the before-and-after evidence that shows whether the work paid off. When you contact us, describe the problem rather than picking services; we will suggest a combination in the quote, and you can drop anything you do not need.
Services by symptom
| What you notice | Likely starting service |
|---|---|
| Field data is poor but nobody knows why | Rendering analysis |
| Pages look ready but ignore the first taps | Hydration optimization |
| One screen freezes when a control is used | INP debugging, then main-thread work |
| You are debating server, static or client rendering | Rendering strategy review |
| An upgrade or new framework feature made things slower | Framework performance review |
| Main content appears late, or text jumps as fonts load | Asset and font loading |
| You have no field data, or no attribution | Real-user monitoring setup |
The table is a starting point, not a rule. A short description of your problem in your first message is enough for us to suggest the right fit.
Working across time zones
Our calls are scheduled within Canadian business hours, and written findings mean that a team spread from Halifax to Vancouver can review them asynchronously. Walkthrough calls are recorded only if you ask and everyone on the call agrees.
What we do not do
We do not sell guaranteed scores, rankings or traffic. We do not change production systems without written approval, and we never ask for passwords to be sent by email; access is set up through accounts or invitations you control. We do not resell hosting, monitoring or any other product.
