Who is responsible
Renderloria answers for the personal information described in this notice, and any question about it can go to hello@renderloria.online.
Privacy Officer (person in charge of the protection of personal information): hello@renderloria.online
This notice covers renderloria.online, its contact form and email sent to our address. It is written with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's private-sector privacy law in mind.
What we collect and why
When you browse
The site has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, no embedded social media and no third-party fonts or content. Pages and assets load only from renderloria.online.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider's servers record technical logs of requests: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the response code, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are kept by the host for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention, under the host's own retention settings. We do not use them to build profiles or to identify visitors.
When you use the contact form
Our contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional app or site address, a topic and a message, plus a tick box confirming you agree to us using them to reply. We use this information only to reply and, if you decide to work with us, to prepare a quote and carry out the work.
The form sends your message to our mailbox by email. It does not keep a copy of your message on the website.
To protect the form from abuse, the site keeps a short-lived record of how many times a connection has used the form. The connection's IP address is converted into a keyed one-way code before it is stored, and these counts are deleted after 24 hours. Loading the form also sets a session cookie, described in the cookie notice.
When you email us
We receive whatever you include, and our email provider processes it to deliver and store it.
The free tools
The rendering visualizer, the INP budget planner and the optimization planner run in your browser. They make no network requests and send nothing to us.
Who processes the information for us
- Our web hosting provider runs the servers that deliver the site, process the contact form and keep server logs.
- Our email provider delivers and stores email, including messages sent through the form.
These providers act on our behalf and may store or process information outside Canada and outside Quebec, including in the United States or the European Union, where it may be accessible to courts and authorities under local law. We choose providers that commit to protecting the information. We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertisers.
If you hire us, we may also need to share project information with accounting software or a payment processor to invoice you.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages and email that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Correspondence and records for clients: as long as needed for the work and for legal, tax and accounting obligations, generally up to seven years for financial records.
- Form protection counts: 24 hours.
- Server logs: kept by the hosting provider under its own settings.
How we protect it
The site is served only over HTTPS. Mailbox and server settings live outside the public website folder. Access to our mailbox and hosting accounts is limited and protected with strong authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information Renderloria holds on you, have mistakes in it corrected, and withdraw consent to our using it, subject to legal limits such as records we must keep. Residents of Quebec also have rights under Quebec law, including to be informed about how their information is used and, in some cases, to have it de-indexed or moved to another organization.
Write to hello@renderloria.online to use any of these rights. We answer such requests within the time Canadian and Quebec privacy law allows (generally 30 days). Should our answer leave you unsatisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Children
This site is meant for professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its date. Significant changes will be noted at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
